Where shall I go?

There is nothing more lovely on a sunny afternoon than a leisurely tour of an Antebellum plantation.  While on my road trip we drove past just such a treasure outside of St. Francisville, Louisiana.  It’s called the Butler Greenwood Plantation and Bed & Breakfast.  What makes it so unique is that it is still in the hands of the family that built it.  That is exceedingly rare, especially with a pre- (Civil) war house.  Don’t have time to stay the weekend?  Take the tour instead.  For $5 each you’ll be guided through the house by a well-informed family member.  You’ve never seen heirlooms like they have here.  The house in in exceptional condition and the tour is quite interesting.  After the tour do what I did, wander the grounds selecting a cottage for your next visit.  Mine will be The Old Kitchen.
