Oh to be a fly on that wall!

It was announced in the news today that President Bush was meeting "privately" with Al Gore. The reason, you ask? Why to congratulate Mr. Gore on his Nobel Prize of course. I would just love to be privy to that conversation. What on earth do you think Bush said to him?!

SJP on Project Runway tonight?!

I've been reading this all over the internet this afternoon. Even if it's only 10% true (and 90% rubbish), I* AM* SO* IN!!! Thanks to Popsugar for the head's up!

Some day your Prinze will come?

For her 5th wedding anniversary my favorite pint sized actress, Sarah Michelle Gellar has changed her name. That's right, she's now legally know as Sarah Michelle Prinze. I have to say while I think the gesture is sweet (sigh)...if a bit um *late!* I'm finding her new name weird. I mean it's not like Gellar was stellar, ha! But really Sarah Michelle Prinze just doesn't roll off the tongue the same way. What do you think?

Movie alert

The trailer for The Other Boleyn Sister has hit the web this week. It stars Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson, that's a lot of star power. I read the book and absolutely loved it. Phillipa Gregory is one of my favorite historical writers. I'd advise you all to mark your calendars for the February 29th release. This looks like the biggest historical film since Elizabeth with Cate Blanchett.

Posh Spice - it's on!

I was pretty wary of the Spice Girls reunion. I mean really, they're all middle aged now, have kids and husbands (well some of them anyway). How were they going to pull off the fierce "Girl Power" stance of their youth? Then I saw this Tesco commercial the other day and I have to admit they've still go it. I've never been a Posh fan, but she's kind of hilarious in this. Between that and the Ugly Betty cameo, I think I might be developing a bit of a girl crush on Vicky B...let's face it, she'd make the world's best shopping buddy!

Plastic surgery, is it worth it?

It seems these days that all of my women's magazines (and I'm talking to YOU Allure), are telling me to elect plastic surgery. Just a little nip there, maybe some botox here, no problem. It's safe, it's done by doctor's, right? I'm not so sure. I've never been a fan of "going under the knife". I think life carves its lines on us to show the world what kind of lives we've led. I personally have crows feet around my eyes that I cherish because I earned them laughing my way through life. After seeing this article online this morning about Kayne West's mom dying from complications of plastic surgery, I'm asking myself...is it worth it?

Something in the water?

Two of my favorite bloggers have announced in the last week that they're expecting. One is still on the downlow and the other just blogged it today. Then a girlfriend declared the same thing over drinks recently (mine was a Cosmo of course, hers a mineral water with lime - dead giveaway). I have to say that all of this good news is giving me a really happy glow. Congrats to all of you out there with happy news!

Mayor 'Pretty Boy' Wins Again!

Calls Nov. 6th a great day for Brylcreem and shiny suits.
Says that overwhelming victory is an endorsement of his bizarre hairstyle.

I'm back!

I know, I know I've been away for almost a week. Listen, I have an excuse. No, the dog didn't eat my homework, but...I've been working. Last week I was in New York checking out a SpaFinder event at Grand Central station. This week I'm working a full schedule again, so I've limited time to blog. I'm sorry!

In the meantime, here's something that should make all you fashonistas happy (this one's for you X-tina!)

Gucci has just released their cruise collection...ooh candy!

So I'm asking myself, where's she been?!

Like Holly GoLightly I've run off to Manhattan for a few days. I was lucky enough to be here for the Halloween parade in Greenwich Village last night. I swear I've never seen a party spread so fast. There were people in Greenwich, SoHo, they just kept pushing further and further out. Best costumes: dry cleaning (a guy with a plastic bag over his clothes and a hanger through his head). What I saw on the way to dinner -- about a million pirate wenches, several faeries, at least 5 Snow Whites, 2 Marilyn Monroes and 5 Underwear Man's. This city is cah-razy!!!
