*CRASH!!!*
Yes, that's the sound of all of my websites crashing at the same time. I've been offline overnight, so I apologize for the posting delay. Fortunately I had a cheeky beer on hand to see me through. I picked up a 6 pack of Full Sail LTD today on my weekly BevMo run. (Is it wrong that they recognize me when I come in?) Anyhoo, the beer besides being delicious has a very cheeky label, here's what it says:
A light full-bodied nonetheless hella good Limited Edition Lager courtesy of the mad skills of the Full Sail CrewPretty funny guys! Thanks for making me crack a smile on a heinously stressful day!

Finally, a subject I can comment on!
Full Sail was one of the first micros I drank, way back when in grad school. Pales seemed to be the rage for a while. In recent years I've been going darker to porters and stouts; it helps that there's two Irish pubs near my office pushing Guinness.
It's so versatile. I'd heard of black & tans of course, but you can also get a Velveteen, which is cider floated on Guinness.
This summer I got a new favorite, Obsidian Stout, have you tried that? I don't know where it comes from, all I know is I love the thick feel and chocolaty overtones.
Mr. Blog - I think beer is a lot like classical music, you start with the light stuff and move on to more rich and full bodied things a your tastes evolved. I've made it to the red ales and even some browns, but I haven't developed a taste for stouts yet. Fashion Guy is pushing me that direction, I just can't get past the first sip. It's like bread in a glass. I'll definitely have to tell him about obsidian stout!
For myself, I'm trying the Velveteen in the near future. I'd never heard of it.
